You might feel as if you are miles from anywhere but we are situated halfway between Angouleme and Limoges so transport here is easy. You can choose to drive, to arrive by plane or to take the train. The airports of both Angouleme and Limoges are very conveniently situated on our side of the cities. Check out flights from Ryanair. Cars can be hired either at the station or airport and you will delight in the empty roads and ease of parking.

On the Domain estate there is guest house and holiday cottage accommodation, but if you need more there are also plenty of Bed and Breakfasts and gites close by to house your guests.

For you and your wedding guests

You and your guests can use this fabulous outdoor swimming pool, or play tennis on the very banks of the lake. You can also walk and cycle around the estate. There is a restaurant and bed and breakfast facilities near the chateau, and within the estate there are other buildings that have been converted to form guest house and self-catering holiday accommodation. All are very private and set on the banks of this wonderful lake.

Throughout the estate you will find both simple, natural beauty, elegant sophisitication and exacting attention to detail.

All the buildings at Domain des Etangs have been renovated to a very high standard. The artchitect, working with skilled craftsmen, has chosen the theme of natural materials and an elegant simplicity has been maintained throughout. Food at wedding receptions can be a headache, but whether you are organising a small wedding large reception, or large wedding with small reception this could be your answer. down stairs the restaurant is laid out with many tables of various sizes, but the upper floor can be furnished with either small tables or one long banquet table. There is, in addition, a medieval style banquet hall.

Be a spring bride!

France is wonderful in Spring. By the end of March the cowslips line the roads and the cuckoo is calling. Peach, plum and cherry trees blossom in every garden and the air is scented with violets. Magnolias are spectacular and it can be warm enough eat out wearing sunglasses and t-shirt.
