National Kissing Day started out in the United Kingdom but kissing is such fun that this is one holiday that's gone international, making July the 6th World Kiss Day, so you better be getting those little beauties all puckered up in anticipation!

Classic Red Lipstick

Ladies - I'm talking to you. Men don't always notice things, do they? You got to Spell It Out! Lipstick does just this. Pale Passion

The ice cool lipsitck below is so retro it the future. Pale lips and dark smoky eyes take you right back to Biba. This sugar-pink, though, is a bit more girlie and less scary than the white and flesh colours of times gone by.

Natural lips are the most kissable of all so make sure that your lips are soft , moist and gorgeous. You need to moisturise, that's for sure, but you can also plump up your lips or give them a subtle glow with lip balms and lip glosses. Take a few tips on how to pamper your lips.

Cracked, dry lips are not so kissable, so keep yours soft with moisturisers. I'll tell you this, petroleum jelly, 'Vaseline' to me, works just fine, but the newer products might just have the edge. There are good health reasons for keeping your lips in tact, because your skin is the first line of defence against infection and germs, and a vital part of sex appeal is rampant good health.

Do lip-plumpers work? (Do you want plump lips anyway? It's only fashion - but if you do then read on ...) If you have a look at reviews for these products people do seem to think that they work, and this is the theory behind it - in brief. Thin lips are a) Inherited (nothing much you can do about that then!), b) caused by age (so don't get any older) and c) Sun, or UV exposure. Get those lips under cover!

This is what plumping creams do for you:

• Help skin cell regeneration
• Increase blood flow to the lips: they contain an irritant which casues this - or you can eat hot food!
• Increase the production of collagen and this makes them look fuller

Ingredients to look out for your lip plumper should include some or all of the following if it's going to be effective: hyaluronic acid,

peptides, cinnamon or extracts from peppers (hence the curry), and benzyl nicotinate, & moisturizers such as Jojoba oil or vitamin E

Your lips now look good, and feel good but what more could you do to get the edge when it comes to Kissing? Taste of course. Bring in another sense and give your lover a flavour explosion. There are so many tantalising and wacky lipstick flavors out there - I've chosen just a few - fruit, mince pie and chips!

Ok, you've painted your lips bright red or passion pink, or maybe you've just left them natural, but for that shiny, ready to kiss, moist lip look you need lip gloss, and what better way to spice up your kisses than to surprise your lover with flavours they would never have imagined? Try cherry, cola .

You can moisturise and flavour at the same tile with flavoured lip balms. What about French Fry lip balm or bubblegum lip balm. Wild and crazy!

What better way to spruce up those lips for that under-the-mistleto kiss than a mince pie flavored lip gloss? Pucker up for Christmas and dish up a bit of seasonal fun with this festive treat.
