Online School of Art Tutorial Index
Tutorial and Article Index for the School of Art
The BLW School of Art has just been born, so this list of lessons is very short indeed at the moment. Eventually I hope that this painting and drawing course will take three years. It will have a reading list, advice on which materials to buy, projects, tutorials, exhibitions and a meeting place, (or common room). It would be fun to see just how close we can make it to the real thing. (Note the 'we', because you will be a part of the making of this school if you choose to join.)
This is a place to learn to draw and paint in the privacy of your own home, but also to meet other students, to exhibit your work if you'd like and, generally, to benefit from an education in the fine arts.
Pleased to see you at our on-line art school and hope you enjoy being here.

If You Need a' How to Paint' Book - Then The Complete Painting Course is an excellent guide
Not least because it features some of my work!
There are just so many 'How to Draw' or 'How to Paint' and art drawing painting books out there and many are really not very helpful. Others might be good, but, needless to say, I haven't used any of them. I'm living in France now so I can't just go and browse in my local library - well, I can but they're all in French and so probably not much good for you!
I was given these books, though, because my paintings and drawings were used as illustrations and they really are very good. My on-line painting and drawing tutorials are intended to replace 'how to' books, but if you really want to buy a guide, then these will stand you in good stead.
This Lesson List is Just a Baby
Please come back because I'll have completed the first real lesson in the next couple of days. From there I hope that it will grow and grow.
The Art School Common Room - It's a FaceBook group
This is where you can go and meet other people who are 'enrolled' in our school. It's a place to chat, to compare notes, to make contact. Being an artist can be a lonely life and it's vital that you interact and swap ideas with others. chat about paint drawing, and all things to do with art. Get together and get a bit of support.
